Ambassadors, also recorded as The Ambassadors, was an Australian tournament paintball team from New South Wales. Captained by Jeffrey Devjak, the team competed in amateur tournaments during the mid-1990s and won the amateur division of a Starlight Foundation charity tournament at Brayton Paintball in January 1996.[1][2][3] == History == === Early development === In correspondence published in June–July 1995, Jeffrey Devjak described the Ambassadors as his new team, comprising seven committed members. He explained that its name reflected an intention to promote paintball and sought support for the team's development.[1] Devjak stated that he had left Top Hat Jokers to concentrate on five-player competition, which he considered a more affordable route into tournament paintball.[1] === 1995 competition === Entries named Ambassadors Cal and Ambassadors Mag competed in the amateur division of the 1995 Australian Three-Man Speedball Championships at Heartbreak Ridge Paintball in Sydney on 5 November 1995.[4] The contemporary report identified Jeff Devjak among the team's experienced players but did not provide final placings for its two entries.[4] In Australian Paintballers national amateur rankings for the 1995 season, Ambassadors placed seventh with 29.5 ranking points. The rankings identified the team as being from New South Wales.[3] === 1996 Brayton charity tournament === The Ambassadors won the amateur division of a five-player tournament held at Brayton Paintball on 14 January 1996 in aid of the Starlight Foundation.[2] Eleven teams contested professional and amateur divisions. The Ambassadors qualified for the amateur finals alongside Black Widows, Acme and Them, finishing ahead of those teams in that order.[2] == Recorded results == {| class="wikitable" ! Year !
