Action Unlimited was an American paintball equipment supplier based in Southern California, United States. The company was active during the 1980s and is documented for its brass-barrel conversion system for the Nel-Spot 007 paintball marker. The conversion was featured in the June 1988 issue of Action Pursuit Games magazine.[1] == History == Action Unlimited was operated by Rob Fuller and supplied equipment and modifications for early paintball markers. In June 1988, Action Pursuit Games featured the company's Brass Nel-Spot Conversion in its "Products for Players" section. The article identified Action Unlimited as a Southern California game supplier and described a conversion intended to improve the performance of the original Nel-Spot pistol.[1] The brass conversion components were made for Action Unlimited by an airsmith identified in the article as Captain Chuck.[1] == Nel-Spot Conversion == The Action Unlimited Nel-Spot Conversion was an aftermarket modification system for the Nel-Spot 007, a pump-action paintball pistol originally manufactured by Daisy Manufacturing Company. The conversion replaced the original steel barrel with a brass barrel fitted to the existing receiver. The design was intended to reduce maintenance requirements associated with the original barrel and improve consistency and accuracy.[1] The system was available with either a 10-inch or 14-inch barrel. Additional equipment included a larger pump handle, a sight rail and a quick-change COβ mechanism. Optional modifications included a shoulder stock, a 7-ounce COβ tank with a constant-air connection and an automatic trigger mechanism that allowed the marker to fire repeatedly while the trigger was held and the pump cycled.[1] VintageRex lists the conversion as a 1988 product, retaining the Nel-Spot's .68-calibre, pump-action configuration and Nelson-style valve system.[2] == See also == * Nel-Spot 007 * Nelson Paint Company * History of paintball equipment * List of vintage paintball markers and equipment == References == # Action Pursuit Games, "Products for Players: Brass Nel-Spot Conversion", June 1988, p. 18, archived by VintageRex. # VintageRex, "Action Unlimited: Nel-Spot Conversion". == External links == * Action Unlimited at VintageRex
