Acme, also styled ACME and Team Acme, was an Australian tournament paintball team documented during the 1990s. The team reached the amateur finals of the 1996 Australian Masters and finished third in the amateur division of 1999 APPL Round One.[1][2] == History == === Three-player competition === In correspondence published in April–June 1996, captain Jonathan Bray described entering three squads in a three-player tournament at Dubbo. Team Acme finished second, Acme Inc third and Acme and Co fourth. Acme and Co also received the best and fairest award.[3] Bray acknowledged support from Predator Paintball at Michelago and Value Rent-A-Car. The letter does not establish the tournament's exact date.[3] === 1996 competition === Acme finished third in the amateur division of the Starlight Foundation charity five-player tournament at Brayton Paintball on 14 January 1996. The Ambassadors won the division, followed by Black Widows, Acme and Them.[4] Acme also reached the four-team amateur finals at the 1996 Australian Masters at Skirmish Adventures in Helensburgh, New South Wales. The report identifies Acme as a finalist but does not establish its final placing.[1] === 1998 Australian Seven-Player Championships === Acme competed in the amateur division of the 1998 Australian Seven-Player Paintball Championships at Yarramundi, New South Wales.[5] The team finished seventh in the amateur preliminary standings with 220 points and did not qualify for the four-team finals.[5] === 1999 APPL Round One === Acme was one of three amateur entries at the opening round of the 1999 Australasian Paintball Players League competition.[2] The team scored 120 preliminary points. In the amateur finals, it lost to SWAT A and The Creed, finishing third with 40 points.[2] == Documented personnel == Jonathan Bray identified himself as Team Acme's captain in correspondence published in April–June 1996.[3] == Recorded tournament results == {| class="wikitable" !
