7DS, also written as 7 D.S and expanded as Seven Deadly Sins, was a New Zealand tournament paintball team captained by Charles Champness. The team competed in Division 2 of the Auckland Super 5s series during 2006 and 2007.[1][2] 7DS finished seventh in the 2006 Division 2 championship. After the first six documented rounds of the 2007 season, it was third in the interim Division 2 standings.[1][2] == History == === 2006 season === 7DS competed under the spelling 7 D.S in Division 2 of the 2006 Super 5s. The team finished seventh in the final championship standings with 3,221 points.[1] In the final round on 3 December 2006, 7DS placed tenth in the combined classification and scored 224 points.[1] === 2007 season === 7DS returned to Division 2 for the 2007 Super 5s. It competed in each of the six rounds for which results have been recovered between February and August.[2][3][4][5][6][7] At the opening round on 25 February, 7DS finished third in Division 2 with 433 points. This was seventh place in the combined event classification.[2] The team subsequently placed sixth overall in March, eighth in April, ninth in June and July, and seventh in August.[3][4][5][6][7] After the August round, 7DS was third in the published interim Division 2 standings with 1,877 points, behind Sinista and Nemisis.[7] Later rounds were announced, but surviving results have not established the team's final 2007 championship position. 7DS also participated in the 2007 New Zealand Paintball Nationals at Actions Paintball in Swanson. A contemporary attendance report described the entry as 7DS with additional players from Tauranga. The team did not appear among the four finalists; its final overall placing was not reported.[8] == Players == A 2007 Super 5s team register listed the following 7DS personnel:[7] {| class="wikitable" ! Name ! Recorded role |- | Charles Champness | Captain |- | Geoff Angrove | Vice-captain |- | Derrick Moore | Player |- | Chris Dawkins | Player |- | Benjiman Hamilton | Player |- | Matt Tapuru | Player |- | Zac Young | Player |} The register documents the team personnel recorded during the 2007 series; it does not establish that every listed player appeared in every round. == Team identity == New Zealand records use the forms 7 D.S, 7 d.s and 7DS for the Charles Champness-led team.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] The initials expanded to Seven Deadly Sins. The New Zealand team was unrelated to American teams recorded by PBLeagues under the names 7 Deadly Sins and 7 Deadly Sins – Wrath. Results belonging to those American teams are not included here. == Tournament results == {| class="wikitable sortable" ! Date ! Tournament ! Result !
