The league calendar advertised the opener for 26 March at WASP Paintball. Team entry fees were listed as $650 for Division 1 and $550 for Division 2.[1]

A contemporary participant caption explicitly identifies the event as Round 1 on 26 March 2023 and names Westside Rampage as the Division 2 five-player winners.[2]

Nomads reported reaching the final before finishing second. Its caption does not identify the division or final opponent, so that placing has not been assigned to Division 1 or Division 2.[3]

Further placings and match scores have not been verified. Completion of the advertised Division 1 competition has not been independently established.

== Round numbering ==
The March opener is consistently identified as Round 1 in the league calendar and contemporary participant reporting.[1][2]

Later organiser listings identify [[2023 NXL Australia WA Round 2|Round 2]] on 30 July and [[2023 NXL Australia WA Round 3|Round 3]] on 22 October. These differ from the original calendar, which advertised Round 2 in May, Round 3 in July and Round 4 in October. The later numbering does not change the March event's identification as Round 1.[1][4][5]
