Editing 2023 British ICPL

The '''2023 British ICPL''', listed by PBLeagues as the '''British Classic''', was a ten-player classic [[paintball]] tournament held on 5–6 August 2023 at Mayhem Paintball in Abridge, Essex. It formed part of the [[European Classic Paintball League]] season. A contemporary Just Paintball report named So-manc Mafia as Pro winners and Corruption as A Division winners.[1][2][3]

== Dates and format ==

The event record gives 5–6 August as one tournament weekend and specifies a ten-player format with 12-minute games.[1]

Just Paintball attended with a trade stand and described a mechanical-marker tournament at Mayhem. Its report, published on 7 August, recorded cold, wet conditions and heavy rain during the weekend.[2]

== Reported results ==

Just Paintball's contemporary report explicitly records the following results, using its own competition labels.[2]

{| class="wikitable"
! Reported competition !! Position !! Team
|-
| Pro || 1 || So-manc Mafia
|-
| Pro || 2 || UK Redskins
|-
| A Division || 1 || Corruption

== ECPL season championship ==

Mayhem Tigers subsequently reported winning the 2023 ECPL Pro season title. That season result is distinct from the British ICPL event classification reported above.[4]

== Video coverage ==

Truternology by Nicky T published ''Dedication | A Mayhem Tigers Eye View of the 2023 British ICPL | ECPL'' on 14 December 2023. The film follows Mayhem Tigers captain Alan Smith and the team's pursuit of the season title, with chapters covering preliminary play and Pro finals.[5]

The same channel published Onemanmedia's ''2023 British ICPL | European Classic Paintball League'' on 2 April 2025. Its description identifies footage following Amateur teams BZ Grizzlies and Corruption at the event.[3]
