Editing 2022 WCPL season

The '''2022 WCPL season''' was a United States tournament season of the [[World Classic Paintball League]]. Its recorded programme comprised five events in California, Florida, New York and Missouri, with Open ten-player competition and an additional five-player competition at the ICC/Montressor Classic.[1][2]

[[Master Blasters]] finished first in the Open 10v10 season standings. AlbanyPower Surge Black topped the separate Open 5v5 standings, which contained results from one event.[2]

== Competition format ==
The WCPL described its tournament programme as competition on woodland, Hyperball and mound fields. Its 2022 published arrangements placed teams in an Open classification rather than separate professional and amateur divisions.[3][4]

The league's FAQ permitted electronic markers capped at 5.5 balls per second. Its rules also stated that WCPL used its own player-ranking arrangements within APPA/PBLeagues, and that participation would not affect a player's classification at other events using that system.[4][5]

Game lengths varied between events. The New York Classic advertised twelve-minute ten-player games. The ICC/Montressor Classic listed ten-minute ten-player games on Saturday and Sunday and five-minute five-player games on Friday.[6][7]

== United States calendar ==
PBLeagues records the following five United States events. Dates represent the published event periods; individual formats could occupy fewer days.[1][6][7]

AlbanyPower Surge Black finished first with 100 points, ahead of Albany Power Surge on 87.14 and Ground Zero Red on 74.29. These standings reflected the single recorded five-player round rather than a multiple-event championship.[2]

== Proposed professional classification ==
The league's published 2022 FAQ announced plans to use season seeding to identify professional teams for 2023, with the number dependent on participation. This was a proposed subsequent classification, rather than a separate professional division in the recorded 2022 standings.[2][4]
