The 2013 PSP season was the national tournament season organised by Paintball Sports Promotions in the United States. Five events were held, beginning with the Dallas Open in March and concluding with the World Cup in October. The season introduced professional Champions and Challengers divisions, with promotion and relegation between events.[1][2] San Diego Dynasty won the professional season championship, finishing seven points ahead of Edmonton Impact. San Antonio X-Factor won the professional World Cup tournament.[3][4] == Calendar == {| class="wikitable" ! Round !! Event !! Dates !! Venue !! Professional teams initially competed together at Dallas, with the top ten qualifying for Champions at the second event. The remaining professional teams entered Challengers alongside additional teams.[2] Champions played on the main professional field, while Challengers used a secondary professional field during the preliminary rounds. Both divisions used the same playing format and rules.[2] Beginning after the second event, the leading two Challengers teams moved into Champions for the following tournament. They replaced two relegated Champions teams. This made advancement and retention of Champions status an event-by-event competition.[2] The Mid-Atlantic Open was the first tournament to stage the two divisions separately. Its leading Challengers teams, Omaha Vicious and upTon 187 cRew, earned promotion for Chicago.[10] === Recorded promotions === {| class="wikitable" ! Event !! Damage won the West Coast Open with a 7–2 victory over Impact. X-Factor then defeated Impact 7–5 in the World Cup final.[4][11][12] === Professional season championship === Dynasty secured the season championship despite failing to reach the World Cup's Sunday championship rounds. Contemporary reporting recorded the leading season totals as follows:[3] {| class="wikitable" ! Position !! Team !!
