The 2012 PSP World Cup was a Paintball Sports Promotions (PSP) tournament held from 25–28 October 2012 at Fantasy of Flight in Polk City, Florida, United States. It concluded the five-event 2012 PSP season.[1] Houston Heat won the professional event and the professional season championship, defeating Tampa Bay Damage 4–2 in the final.[3][4] == Venue and formats == The tournament took place at Fantasy of Flight, at 1400 Broadway Boulevard Southeast in Polk City.[1] The professional division played RaceTo-7. Divisions 1 and 2 played RaceTo-5, while Divisions 3 and 4 played RaceTo-4. Additional competitions included divisional RaceTo-2, Masters X-Ball, open pump RaceTo-2 and open ten-player paintball.[1] == Professional competition == Houston Heat finished with a 6–1 record and defeated Tampa Bay Damage 4–2 in the professional final. The victory secured both the World Cup and the season championship.[4] Contemporary reporting highlighted Houston's opening shooting and its success in limiting Damage's movement on the snake side. Konstantin Fedorov was identified as a major contributor to Houston's performance.[3] San Antonio X-Factor finished third and Los Angeles Ironmen fourth.[2] == World Cup results == The following placings are recorded in the official event standings.[2] {| class="wikitable" !
