Editing 2010 Singapore Paintball Series

The 2010 Singapore Paintball Series was a paintball tournament held on 16–17 October 2010 at East Coast Park, Singapore. Twenty-nine local teams competed across Open, Novice, Corporate and Tertiary divisions. It was the first tournament held under the Singapore Paintball Series name following the renaming of the Singapore Paintball Novice Series.[1][2]

Zoo won the Open Division, while Rampage Onslaught won the Novice Division.[3]

Organisation
The tournament took place at Angsana Field, beside car park E2 in East Coast Park. Jane Koh served as tournament director, Ben Seow as tournament promoter and Muhamad Azhar as head referee.[1][4]

Before the event, AsiaRef manager Junaidi Kalil conducted a two-day refereeing course attended by nine local participants. These participants subsequently officiated at the tournament.[1]

Divisions
The tournament featured four divisions:[2]

* Open — introduced competition using electronic paintball markers.[1][4]
* Novice.
* Corporate — introduced for company teams.[1][4]
* Tertiary — introduced for teams from tertiary educational institutions.[1][4]

The organisers promoted the Tertiary Division through roadshows at Republic Polytechnic and the Singapore Institute of Management. Singapore Polytechnic students who had been introduced to paintball through an earlier roadshow also participated.[1]
