The 2009 Malaysian Super Lite (MSL) was the inaugural Malaysian Super Lite paintball tournament, held on 10 and 11 October 2009 at the Malaysian Paintball Academy (MAPAAC), Kompleks Sukan Astaka, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. Nemesis Paintball Club and the Malaysian National Paintball League (MY-NPL) promoted the competition.[1] Twenty-two teams participated across three categories. Nemesis Legion won Open, Marauders Elite won Amateur/Novice and JS won Division 4.[2] == Organisation == The organisers advertised the event as their first Super Lite tournament, using a Race-to-3 format with an eight-minute match period. Registration and roster submission were handled through MY-NPL headquarters, with rosters subject to Malaysian Paintball Players' Council checking and approval.[1] A separate Division 4 competition was announced for 10 and 11 October at the same venue, using standard MY-NPL 2009 rules.[1] == Competition format == Open and Amateur/Novice used an X-ball Lite format. Teams raced to three points within eight minutes, with a maximum of five games per match. Permitted firing modes were uncapped semi-automatic and PSP burst capped at 12 balls per second. The announcement specified that the remaining rules followed the MY-NPL rule book.[1] The advertised registration fees were RM1,200 for Open, RM800 for Amateur/Novice and RM200 for the concurrent Division 4 competition.[1] == Participation == The published results recorded the following divisional entries:[2] {| class="wikitable" !
