The 2000 New Zealand Paintball Nationals was a seven-player paintball tournament held on 21–22 October 2000 at Actions Paintball in Swanson, Auckland. Sixteen teams competed in a two-flag format. Saints won Division One, while Tag n' Release won Division Two.[1] == Organisation and format == Kyn Jackson organised the tournament over Labour Weekend. Matches took place on two speedball fields: a symmetrical field with semi-permanent barricades and the “Minefield”, constructed for the event with matching arrangements of tall, narrow barricades at each end.[1] Each team played 11 preliminary games, with the four highest-scoring teams in each division advancing to the finals. The preliminary draw did not require every team to play every other entrant.[1] Turbo-trigger modifications were prohibited during the first day. Officials allowed affected players time to obtain replacement markers before playing.[1] == Preliminary results == The preliminary standings were as follows. These scores determined qualification for the divisional finals rather than the final tournament placings.[1] {| class="wikitable" ! Team ! Division ! Points !
