The 1999 NPPL World Cup was a National Professional Paintball League tournament held in the Orlando area of Florida from 18 to 24 October 1999. It featured professional, Amateur A and Amateur B competition in five-man and ten-man formats, together with a novice five-man division.[1][2][3] Lockout won professional five-man, while Aftershock won professional ten-man. Avalanche secured the professional series championship.[1] == Venue and organisation == The tournament moved to a larger site near the former Paintball World fields in Kissimmee. Initial layouts included five Sup'Air fields, three woodland fields and a Hyperball field.[1] Hurricane Irene disrupted preparations. Mud delayed the arrival of tent trucks, and Monday's five-man competition began approximately four hours late. WARPIG reported 147 five-man teams.[1] Games were subsequently transferred from woodland to concept fields, with another Sup'Air field and additional referees helping recover the schedule. Five-man finals concluded on Thursday without delaying the ten-man competition.[1] == Format changes == The starting warning was shortened from 30 seconds to 10 seconds. Ten-man game duration was reduced from 20 minutes to 15 minutes.[1] == Five-man results == Lockout won the professional final with 164 points. Naughty Dogs won Amateur A, Energy II won Amateur B and American Paintball won novice.[2] All scores below are final-round totals. ClassicScores corroborates the published placings.[2][4] === Professional === {| class="wikitable" ! Position !! Team !! Game 1 !! Game 2 !! Game 3 !!
