'''1999 Hawke's Bay Triples''' was a three-player paintball tournament organised by Rick Levick in Hawke's Bay, New Zealand. Eight teams competed, with [[House Steiner|House Steiner Red]] defeating House Steiner Blue in the final.[1] == Tournament == A training session led by Amon Johnson preceded Sunday's competition. Games lasted a maximum of six minutes, with each player permitted to carry 100 paintballs.[1] Teams played each other in preliminary heats. The two highest-scoring teams were to advance to a two-game final, with each team playing once from each end of the field.[1] == Participating teams == {| class="wikitable" ! Team !! House Steiner Red and The Boys From The Black Stuff tied for second, requiring a deciding semi-final. Red won that game to qualify for the final, leaving Black Stuff third.[1] The two final games were played consecutively. Each House Steiner squad won from one end, with Red winning the tournament by one elimination across the two games.[1] {| class="wikitable" ! Position !!
