The 1995 NPPL World Cup was a paintball tournament held at Paintball World in Kissimmee, Florida, concluding the National Professional Paintball League's 1995 season. Contemporary announcements advertised the tournament for 18–22 October 1995 and billed it as the sixth annual World Cup.[1][2] Aftershock won the professional ten-man competition, while the All Americans won the professional five-man competition. Image won amateur ten-man and Phantom Force won amateur five-man.[3] == Venue and organisation == The World Cup followed the 1995 NPPL Chicago Open as the final tournament on the published five-event league schedule.[1] Paintball World was a commercial woodland paintball field behind the Old Town entertainment complex in Kissimmee, within the greater Orlando area. The World Cup had relocated there from New York in 1994.[2] Contemporary league advertising announced more than US$100,000 in cash and prizes for the 1995 tournament. Refereeing was advertised as being supplied by three NPPL teams, with at least four referees on each five-man field and six on each ten-man field.[1] == Advertised programme == The published programme scheduled five-man competition for Wednesday and Thursday, followed by ten-man competition on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The event listing advertised capacity limits of 42 five-man teams and 64 ten-man teams; these were entry limits rather than confirmed attendance figures.[1] Competitors were permitted to bring their own paintballs. Advertised team entry fees were US$500 for five-man, US$1,500 for amateur ten-man and US$2,000 for professional ten-man.[1] == Results == ClassicScores records the following top-four finishes in the professional and amateur competitions.[3] === Ten-man === {| class="wikitable" ! That account separately identifies the team as the 1995 NPPL five-man series champions.[4] DYE Paintball's later history of Team Image also records the team's 1995 World Cup victory.[5] == See also == * Paintball World Cup * National Professional Paintball League * 1994 NPPL World Cup * 1995 NPPL Chicago Open * Paintball in the United States == References == # NPPL “Time to Play” season advertisement and “Calendar of Events”, Paintball Sports, April 1995.
