== Motion-picture sets and themed fields == === Hollywood theme === Hollywood Sports Park's defining feature was the incorporation of authentic motion-picture sets and props into its playing environments. The developers obtained materials from film productions and adapted them for recreational paintball. This approach allowed participants to play among structures and objects originally created for the film industry. A contemporary WARPIG construction gallery documented the installation of several such props before the park opened.[9] === Starship Troopers === The science-fiction film ''Starship Troopers'' was one of the principal sources of props used at Hollywood Sports Park. The park incorporated transport-ship structures and other set materials associated with the film. Contemporary photographs show a transport ship installed on a playing field and additional film props used in the briefing and staging areas.[9] These features created a science-fiction-themed playing environment. === Waterworld === Hollywood Sports Park also incorporated structures from the 1995 film ''Waterworld''. A WARPIG construction photograph documents towers and catwalks from the film being used to construct a playing field.[9] The structures provided elevated positions and distinctive terrain features. Their use was an early example of the park's approach to combining film-set design with paintball gameplay. === Other film props === Additional films associated with the park's historical and modern playing environments include: * ''The Haunting'' * ''Hollow Man'' * ''Godzilla'' * ''Supernova'' * ''Saving Private Ryan'' The park's official website identifies several of these productions as sources of genuine movie props.[4] Some props were installed in recreational playing fields, while others were used in staging areas, restaurants or entertainment spaces. The historical presence of a prop does not necessarily establish that it remains installed today. === Urban and themed environments === Beyond the film props, Hollywood Sports Park developed simulated urban and industrial playing environments. A 2002 construction gallery documented a field using city buses as obstacles and another incorporating Greek-style ruins.[9] These fields were designed to create varied tactical situations. The environments differed from traditional woodland paintball fields by using constructed buildings, vehicles, walkways and other artificial features. The park became known for its emphasis on immersive recreational paintball.
