== Significance in paintball == K2's involvement represented a period of corporate consolidation in the American paintball equipment industry. The acquisitions brought previously independent manufacturers and brands, including JT and Worr Game Products, under common ownership. The company combined large-scale retail distribution with established specialist tournament equipment businesses. Its ownership also marked a significant transition for Worr Game Products, which had previously operated as a business controlled by Bud Orr and his family. The subsequent acquisition of K2 by Jarden, followed by the sale of JT Sports to KEE Action Sports, formed part of the wider consolidation of paintball equipment brands during the 2000s.
