Smart Parts entered bankruptcy proceedings in May 2010 and was subsequently liquidated.

Following the closure, the Gardner brothers established new business operations associated with GOG Paintball and the continued development of paintball equipment.[3][11]

These operations included products marketed under the GOG, Shocker Paintball, Luxe and Freak brands.

In a 2021 interview with ''Paintball Sports Magazine'', Gardner discussed the restructuring of the business and the continuing development of the Shocker AMP and Luxe marker ranges.

At the time, he was identified as chief executive officer of Philadelphia Americans LLC, the company behind the GOG, Luxe, Shocker and Freak brands.[3]

The newer businesses maintained historical and commercial connections to Smart Parts but were distinct from the original company that entered bankruptcy in 2010.
