== Paintball markers == The VintageRex historical paintball database lists five entries under Component Concepts.[9] {| class="wikitable" ! Marker ! Documented period ! Description |- | Phantom | Introduced 1987 | Original Nelson-style pump marker, later available with removable barrels and interchangeable feeding arrangements. |- | Phantom Express | Listed as 1988 | Early unibody Phantom configuration with a fixed 14-inch barrel. |- | Phantom Shadow | Late 1980s | Early unibody configuration with a fixed 8-inch barrel. |- | Phantom Tournament | Late 1980s | Early unibody configuration with a fixed 12-inch barrel. |- | Phantom Revolution | Prototype demonstrated 1996 | Experimental semi-automatic marker using an electrically operated rotary breech. |} VintageRex assigns 1985 dates to the Shadow and Tournament entries. These dates conflict with CCI's own statement that development began in 1986 and commercial production began in 1987. They are therefore not treated as verified introduction dates.[1][9] The later pump-action Phantom Revolution is not separately listed in the VintageRex catalogue but is documented in CCI's official operating manual and 2013 product catalogue.[7][8]
