=== Expansion during the 1990s === Airgun Designs expanded the Automag platform into several models, including the [[Minimag]], [[Sydarm]] and [[Automag RT]]. The Minimag retained the Automag's basic operating system while introducing a compact external configuration with a vented barrel shroud. The Sydarm was a semiautomatic pistol developed for police and military training applications. It used a spring-fed magazine and 12-gram COβ cartridge. VintageRex dates the model to 1992 and documents a later public release in 2004.[13] In 1996, AGD introduced the Automag RT, featuring a reactive trigger and a redesigned valve capable of rapidly recharging between shots. The RT was designed for compressed-air or nitrogen operation rather than liquid COβ.[2] AGD was also an early developer and promoter of high-pressure compressed-air systems for paintball. Its work contributed to the transition away from COβ-powered tournament equipment during the 1990s.[1][2]
