=== Acquisition ===

In 2021, Colby and Steve Preskill purchased a paintball field in Florida and established [[Panhandle Paintball]].[1]

The business was intended to create a welcoming environment for recreational players.

=== Community approach ===

Preskill described the field's philosophy as being influenced by his early experiences at Paintball Blitz.

The owners sought to encourage experienced players to assist newcomers and to create a supportive local paintball community.

=== World Classic Paintball League ===

Panhandle Paintball became associated with the [[World Classic Paintball League]].

The venue hosted the Panhandle Paintball Classic.

=== Classic tournament paintball ===

The WCPL focuses on traditional tournament formats, particularly woodsball.

Its events attract veteran players and teams interested in the style of competition associated with the sport's earlier decades.

Colby's participation connects his equipment-manufacturing career with the revival of classic paintball competition.
