=== First tournaments === Red Sevens' first tournament was the Werdnahol Cup. The team's October 2008 historical account identifies this competition as its first organised tournament appearance. The team subsequently participated in the [[Malaysian Paintball Official Circuit]]. A contemporary account described its MPOC appearance as Singapore's first representation by a speedball team in that competition during 2007.[5] Early tournament participation was challenging because the team lacked the equipment, facilities and experience of more established Malaysian teams. The founders' retrospective account describes the team initially competing with mechanical markers against opponents using electronic markers.
