=== 2008 NPPL San Diego victory === Hollywood HK won Division 1 at the 2008 NPPL San Diego event, held at Qualcomm Stadium on 14β16 November.[4] The team advanced through the preliminary and elimination rounds to reach the final against LA Hitmen. Hollywood HK won the final in two games. The victory was the team's second documented Division 1 event win of the season. The result was subsequently described by Bear D'Egidio as the team's 2008 NPPL World Championship victory.[1] However, Hollywood HK did not win the overall 2008 NPPL Division 1 season championship. That title went to '''Aftermath II'''.[4] The distinction between the San Diego event championship and the season championship is important when documenting the team's competitive record.
