== Contributions to paintball == === Commercial field development === Bukowski was among the early entrepreneurs who helped establish commercial paintball as a recreational industry. His development of Sat Cong Village demonstrated the potential for large permanent playing facilities with multiple themed environments. The later expansion into Hollywood Sports Park illustrated the development of paintball parks as entertainment destinations. === Tournament field design === Bukowski's association with the original SC Village Speedball arena is particularly significant. The 1989 format helped demonstrate how smaller, more open fields could make paintball competition easier to follow. The subsequent development of SC Arenas and Hyperball contributed to the growth of purpose-built tournament infrastructure. === Safety and spectator facilities === Contemporary promotional material credited Bukowski and D'Egidio with early innovations in paintball safety equipment and spectator infrastructure, including barrel plugs and protective netting.[9] These claims should be interpreted cautiously. The available promotional source does not independently establish that either individual was the sole inventor of barrel plugs or the first person to use protective netting in paintball. Their documented work developing commercial facilities and tournament spectator areas nevertheless contributed to the adoption and refinement of paintball park operating practices. === Large-scale recreational events === SC Village's Monsterball and later scenario events demonstrated the ability of commercial paintball facilities to accommodate large groups. These events required organised staffing, equipment support and the use of extensive playing areas. They contributed to the development of large-scale recreational paintball in Southern California.
