=== Entry into American professional paintball ===

Russian Legion expanded its participation in American professional competition during the early 2000s.

At the 2003 PSP World Cup, the team competed in Division 1 X-Ball, finishing fifth. In 2004, Russian Legion won Division 1 at the PSP Northeast Open before finishing second in the professional X-Ball division at the World Cup later that year. [3]

The team subsequently competed in the American professional X-Ball circuit under the '''Boston Red Legion''' name.

Its roster combined Russian players with international recruits, including players from the United States and Europe. [2][7]
