== Relationship with the World Classic Paintball League == === Historical connection === The [[World Classic Paintball League]] was established to promote traditional tournament paintball formats. Its events emphasise woodsball and classic competitive paintball. Many Hall of Fame inductees began playing during the 1980s and early 1990s, when these formats were common. === Participation === The WCPL has reported that numerous Hall of Fame inductees participate in or help organise its events.[1] This includes former professional players, field operators and tournament promoters. === Historical records === The WCPL published a list of Hall of Fame inductees from 2017 through 2022. The list was sourced from the Hall of Fame's Facebook announcements. The WCPL also reported the 2023 class. These records are useful because they preserve the names and induction years in an accessible format. === Organisational distinction === The Paintball Hall of Fame and World Classic Paintball League are separate initiatives. The WCPL's publication of induction lists does not establish that the league owns or administers the Hall of Fame.
