=== Early operations === Chipley Custom Machine developed from the machining and paintball activities of Jason Chipley in Northern California. By 2000, Chipley and members of his workshop were producing customised pump-action markers based on the WGP Sniper platform. The company also operated a tournament team competing under the CCM name. At the June 2000 [[Pan Am Circuit]] tournament near Seattle, Washington, the CCM team attracted attention by competing against semi-automatic-equipped opponents using customised pump markers. Contemporary reporting by [[WARPIG]] documented the team's victory over the [[Portland Naughty Dogs]], then an established amateur tournament team.[1] The company continued competing in the Pan Am Circuit and Great Western Series, demonstrating its equipment in competition. According to WARPIG, Jason Chipley and members of his staff competed with custom-built CCM pump markers, helping establish the company's reputation in the developing market for high-end pump equipment.[2]
