== Champions and Challengers format == PSP announced a new professional structure before the season. Professional teams initially competed together at Dallas, with the top ten qualifying for Champions at the second event. The remaining professional teams entered Challengers alongside additional teams.[2] Champions played on the main professional field, while Challengers used a secondary professional field during the preliminary rounds. Both divisions used the same playing format and rules.[2] Beginning after the second event, the leading two Challengers teams moved into Champions for the following tournament. They replaced two relegated Champions teams. This made advancement and retention of Champions status an event-by-event competition.[2] The Mid-Atlantic Open was the first tournament to stage the two divisions separately. Its leading Challengers teams, Omaha Vicious and upTon 187 cRew, earned promotion for Chicago.[10] === Recorded promotions === {| class="wikitable" ! Event !! The results below present the leading teams in each division separately.[6][7][9]
