== Genesis booster pump == === Development === Air America developed the '''Genesis''' booster pump system. The equipment was designed to raise the pressure of an existing compressed-air or nitrogen supply. This made it possible to fill paintball cylinders to higher pressures without relying exclusively on a high-pressure compressor. === WARPIG coverage === WARPIG's PigTV featured the Genesis booster system in its historical video coverage.[5] The programme explained how lower-pressure compressed air or nitrogen could be used to fill 3000 and 4500 psi systems. === Field applications === Booster pumps were particularly relevant to paintball fields and tournament operators. They offered an alternative approach to producing high-pressure fills where suitable source gas was available. === Historical equipment === Genesis boosters continued to be used by paintball operators long after Air America's original production period. The Pennsylvania Predators paintball team published a repair account describing an older Air America Genesis booster and efforts to obtain replacement components.[6] The account also identified Steve Preskill as a former Air America airsmith who assisted with troubleshooting. This provides evidence of the continued use of Air America equipment within the paintball community.
