== Business operations == === Recreational paintball === Giant Sportz operated commercial paintball parks serving recreational players. The network offered a variety of playing environments, including natural-terrain fields, constructed villages and artificial-bunker layouts. The parks catered to first-time participants and experienced players. Recreational activities included walk-on sessions, private bookings and organised group events. === Airsoft === Several Giant Sportz facilities also offered airsoft. The GIANT SPORTZ trademark registration covering recreational facilities specifically included both paintball and airsoft services.[3] Airsoft expanded the range of activities available at the network's commercial venues. The activities generally used separate equipment and operating procedures. === Rental equipment === The network provided rental equipment for participants who did not own paintball markers and protective gear. Rental equipment was an important part of the commercial model because it allowed new players to participate without purchasing their own equipment. Giant Sportz's 2012 Field Makeover Program also emphasised the importance of maintaining and improving rental equipment fleets.[1] === Private groups and corporate events === The network marketed paintball to private groups, companies and other organisations. Commercial group bookings formed part of the business model. Giant Sportz also promoted paintball through corporate employee benefit programmes and fundraising activities. These programmes were discussed in the organisation's 2012 Field Makeover announcement.[1]
