== Refereeing activities ==

=== Tournament officiating ===

Asia Refs has been associated with the administration of competitive paintball matches.

Tournament referees generally perform duties including:

* Inspecting players for paintball hits
* Determining player eliminations
* Enforcing game rules and penalties
* Monitoring player safety
* Supervising match starts and finishes
* Communicating decisions to tournament officials

These are general responsibilities of paintball referees.

The available sources do not establish a complete Asia Refs-specific officiating manual.

=== International referee participation ===

One of Asia Refs' documented characteristics is participation across national boundaries.

The 2011 Singapore report concerning Mr Azhar's involvement in PALS India provides a specific example of a referee working beyond his domestic tournament environment.

The organisation's involvement in Malaysian and Singaporean competitions also illustrates the movement of officiating expertise between national paintball communities.

The available sources do not establish a complete list of countries represented in Asia Refs' membership.

=== Referee certification ===

The 2026 Malaysian X-Ball League regulations describe Asia Refs as MXBL-certified since 2018.

This establishes a published claim concerning the organisation's recognition within that league.

However, the available records do not establish:

* A formal Asia Refs certification curriculum
* The organisation's membership grades
* Its examination requirements
* The identity of all approved instructors
* The relationship between Asia Refs certification and other international referee qualifications

These details require additional primary documentation.
