=== Brass construction === Many PPS markers were constructed from brass tubing. The company used stacked-tube designs derived from Sheridan-style equipment. In these designs, the lower tube generally contained the firing valve and hammer. The upper tube contained the barrel and bolt assembly. The components were machined, assembled and finished by the workshop. Brass construction became one of the most recognisable characteristics of PPS equipment.
