== Playing career == === Early career and Team Rage === Adamson began playing paintball in 1986, initially competing with the Florida Annihilators before founding Team Rage.[1] By 1996, he was captain of Rage, which competed internationally with a roster incorporating players from established American professional teams. In June 1996, Adamson travelled to Australia with Rage for the Australian Masters at Skirmish Adventures in Helensburgh, New South Wales. In an interview published in Australian Paintballer, Adamson discussed the team's tactical approach, training methods and experience competing on Australian speedball fields. He emphasised communication, accuracy, structured practice and coordinated movement as important elements of competitive tournament paintball.[4] Rage subsequently finished fourth in the professional ten-player division at the 1996 NPPL World Cup in Orlando, Florida.[5] === Chicago Aftershock === Adamson joined Chicago Aftershock during the 1990s, becoming a prominent member of the team's championship-winning roster. By 1999, he was competing alongside Danny Love, Mike Bruno, Billy Ceranski, Ryan Williams and Ronnie Simpkins. Contemporary rosters from the 1999 Skyball tournament in Toronto confirm his membership of the team.[6] Adamson served as Aftershock's captain during the 2001 National Professional Paintball League (NPPL) season. The team's official professional roster listed him as captain alongside players including Love, Bruno, Ceranski, Markus Nielsen, Ralph Sotelo and Dan Holmes.[7] Aftershock won the professional ten-player division at the 2001 NPPL Atlantic City Gambler's Open. The team subsequently secured the 2001 NPPL professional season championship, finishing ahead of its major rivals in the overall series standings.[8][9] In 2002, Aftershock won the professional ten-player division at the PSP Las Vegas Open. Contemporary reporting highlighted Adamson's performance during the semi-finals, including successful defensive situations against Avalanche and Bad Company.[10] Aftershock also won the professional ten-player championship at the 2002 Paintball World Cup in Kissimmee, Florida. This was the final World Cup of the original NPPL professional ten-player era before the major tournament organisations expanded into seven-player and X-Ball competition.[11] === Los Angeles Ironmen === Adamson subsequently joined the Los Angeles Ironmen during the expansion of professional X-Ball. He was among several former Aftershock players recruited by the organisation, alongside Ryan Williams. Contemporary coverage of the 2007 PSP Los Angeles Open identified Adamson among the experienced players who had joined the Ironmen during the preceding seasons.[12] The Ironmen won the 2007 Los Angeles Open, defeating Boston Red Legion in overtime. Adamson subsequently stepped away from regular professional X-Ball competition but continued participating in traditional ten-player tournaments.[1] === Return to ten-player competition === Adamson returned to classic-format paintball through events organised by the International Classic Paintball League (ICPL). He competed with Aftershock and the All Americans in mechanical ten-player tournaments. In 2023, Adamson was part of an Aftershock roster competing at the ICPL Sunshine Classic in Florida. The team included former professional players Billy Ceranski and Renick Miller, alongside contemporary professional competitors.[13]
