Editing El Bandito (Paintball Team) (section)

== History ==

=== Formation and early years ===

El Bandito was part of the early Malaysian tournament paintball community.

The team is recalled as being active around 2004, when Malaysia was hosting international competitions and developing its domestic tournament scene.

The team's founding members, original home field and precise formation date have not yet been confirmed through surviving contemporary records.

=== 2004 Nations Cup period ===

The 2004 Nations Cup was held in Malaysia and attracted international participation.

El Bandito has been associated with the Malaysian tournament scene during this period.

However, a surviving entry list, roster or results sheet establishing the team's participation in the tournament has not yet been located.

The 2004 event was separate from the later [[UPBF Nations Cup]] competitions.

=== Subsequent activity ===

El Bandito continued to be recognised within the Malaysian tournament paintball community during the 2000s.

A contemporary report published in December 2008 identified El Bandito as one of the former teams of Matthew Nekvapil, who had subsequently joined KL Demonz.[1]

This confirms the team's existence before December 2008, but does not establish its exact period of operation.

The team's later tournament appearances, results and eventual status remain to be documented.
