== Format and programme == Saraí Fuentes García's 2009 UNAM study describes three-player matches with two eight-minute periods. It reports 16 teams at the opening round, independent refereeing and ten rounds planned.[1] In November 2008, the MXball promotion-staff account Takas@mxball3 described 2006 as the league's first year, stating that 16 teams registered and at least eight events were held.[2] Ten planned rounds and at least eight reported events do not establish a complete final calendar.
