== Format and venue == The tournament used Millennium rules, modified to accommodate an 80-metre by 40-metre playing field. The field contained 56 barricades and included a snake along the side nearest the spectator area.[1] Preliminary matches took place on Saturday, followed by finals and exhibition games on Sunday. Qualification for the finals depended on accumulated points rather than the number of matches won.[1]
