Matt Storey and Neil Bell organised the tournament, which was sanctioned by the New Zealand Paintball Players Association and followed Millennium Series rules. Competition took place on two airball fields at the Kumeu venue used for the regular [[Super 5s (New Zealand)|Super 5s]] series.[1]

Teams attended from Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington and the South Island. Rain and strong winds affected play, with the fields becoming increasingly muddy during the second day.[1]

The preliminary competition used a round-robin format, with accumulated points determining qualification for the Cup and Plate competitions. Semi-final results were determined by wins, with individual game scores used to resolve ties.[1]
