2021 ECPL Round 1 was a three-player paintball tournament held on 2 May 2021 at Bay of Plenty Paintball Club's field at TECT All Terrain Park, New Zealand. Expendables won the event, with Surge finishing second.[1][2]

Format
The East Coast Paintball League advertised its 2021 season as three-player X-Ball, with a firing-rate limit of 10.5 balls per second and a two-point mercy rule.[1]

Entries were capped at twelve teams, with an entry fee of NZ$140 per team. The advertised structure provided each team with at least five matches before the semi-finals and finals.[1]

Competition
In its report published on 3 May, the league congratulated Expendables on winning and Surge on finishing a close second. It also acknowledged the participation of Crisis Paintball Northland and Kaos Theory.[2]

Victoria Kate Photography published an event album and identified the winning entry as Expendables 1.[3]
