== Background and organisation ==

The tournament formed part of the development of domestic competitive paintball through the [[Paintball Association (Singapore)]] (PBAS) and Red Dynasty Paintball Park.

In a subsequent account of her presidency, Jane Koh identified the March 2008 competition as the first SPNS event. She also described the association's Basic Tournament Orientation programme, which provided participants with instruction in paintball safety and competition rules.[2]

== Competition format ==

Seven teams competed in a three-player format. A later statement by the organisers identified Tippmann A5 markers as the equipment used in the inaugural tournament.[1][4]

== Result ==

Redlords won the opening leg. A subsequent profile of player Bryan “Judas” Quek explicitly listed his SPNS 2008 Leg 1 championship with the team.[3]
