The 2000 NPPL World Cup was an international paintball tournament held in October 2000 at Kissimmee, near Orlando, Florida, United States. Sanctioned by the National Professional Paintball League (NPPL) and promoted by Jerry Braun, the tournament was the final event of the 2000 NPPL season.[1]

The Southern California Ironmen won the professional ten-player championship, while the All Americans won the professional five-player competition. The Ironmen also secured the NPPL professional season championship.[1]

The tournament featured professional and amateur five-player and ten-player competition, a paintball industry exhibition and the premiere of the documentary film Push.[1]
Tournament
The event returned to the site used for the 1999 World Cup, with additional space and playing fields constructed to accommodate the competition.

Ten concept fields were prepared using Hyperball, Sup'Air Ball and other inflatable bunker systems.

Companies involved in constructing or sponsoring playing fields included PMI, National Paintball Supply, Brass Eagle, JT, Diablo and Extreme Rage.[1]

The five-player competition attracted more than 170 teams, according to contemporary WARPIG reporting.

The tournament incorporated professional, Amateur A and Amateur B divisions. An additional Novice classification was introduced for the event by dividing the large Amateur B entry.[1]

The documentary film Push premiered during the tournament.

The premiere was held at Damon's, a sports bar near the World Cup venue.

The film combined tournament footage, player interviews and music-driven editing.
